Wildlytics
Where Field Science Meets Modern Analytics
A purpose-built wildlife survey analytics platform for everyone who tracks wildlife โ agencies, conservation groups, researchers, and enthusiasts.
Modern tools. Trusted science.
Montana Setting the Standard
Montana is home to some of the most complex and demanding wildlife management challenges in the Lower 48. Grizzly bears, wolves, elk herds in the hundreds of thousands, sage grouse conservation, and migratory corridors spanning thousands of miles. If it works for Montana, it works for every state. Montana doesn't follow trends in wildlife management โ Montana sets them.
๐ญ What is Wildlytics?
Wildlytics is a self-hosted analytics platform designed for everyone who tracks wildlife โ state and federal agencies, conservation NGOs, universities, tribal nations, hunting organizations, environmental consultants, and passionate citizen scientists. It replaces outdated spreadsheets and 40-year-old legacy systems with a modern, intuitive interface that field professionals actually want to use.

๐ Our Mission
"To empower wildlife biologists with modern, accessible analytics tools โ because the species they protect deserve the best technology we can build. Conservation first. Always."
Wildlytics was born from a simple observation: state wildlife agencies across America are running critical conservation programs on systems that are 40+ years old. Biologists counting elk from helicopters at 7am in February at -10ยฐF shouldn't also have to fight their software.
We believe that modern wildlife analytics should be purpose-built for biologists, by people who care about conservation โ not retrofitted from generic enterprise tools by vendors who've never been in the field.

You Control Where Your Data Lives
Wildlytics can be deployed on your agency's infrastructure of choice. Survey data, photos, and analytics stay within the environment you configure โ under the access controls you set.
Built for Field Reliability
Designed to keep working in the backcountry โ remote field stations, the truck, the helicopter pad โ without depending on continuous connectivity. Sync when you're back in coverage.
Demo Data from Public Sources
All sample data included with Wildlytics is sourced from publicly available Montana FWP reports, published survey summaries, and open-access databases. No proprietary or sensitive agency data is included.
AI Runs Locally
Google SpeciesNet runs entirely on your server. Photos are processed locally โ never uploaded to Google or any third-party cloud service.

๐ Survey Pattern Templates โ reference patterns for aerial wildlife monitoring
Common aerial survey patterns used in wildlife monitoring:
Parallel Transects
Evenly spaced parallel lines across the survey area. Standard for big game aerial counts. Spacing typically 0.5-2 miles depending on terrain and species.
Zigzag / Sawtooth
Connected diagonal lines creating a zigzag pattern. Efficient for continuous coverage with fewer turns. Common in waterfowl and raptor surveys.
Expanding Square
Spiral outward from a central point. Used for targeted searches around known habitat areas, den sites, or last-known locations.
Grid / Block
Systematic grid covering defined blocks. Ideal for complete area coverage with drones. Each block can be assigned to different observers.
Contour Following
Follow terrain contours at consistent AGL altitude. Essential for mountain surveys where flat transects would miss valleys and ridgelines.
Stratified Random
Random sampling within defined strata (habitat types, elevation bands). Statistically robust for population estimates with known confidence intervals.
